They lost the toss and were asked to bat first. The way how the batting order of Islamabad United performed in that match was just outstanding. They scored 195 runs in their inning of 20 overs. The skipper, Shadab Khan was the most successful and highest run-scorer from their side who scored 77 runs on 42 deliveries with the help of five boundaries and four maximum sixes. Colin Munro also had a superb performance with the bat. He scored 52 runs on 35 deliveries while he smashed four boundaries and two huge sixes. Colin Ingram scored 41 runs.
